Chip Ganassi Racing picks up 6th Win in Rolex 24 at Daytona

Indy Car Series drivers Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan as well as NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competitors Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson gave Chip Ganassi Racing the victory in Sunday’s 53rd running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. It was the record sixth victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona for team owners Ganassi and Felix Sabates in 12 attempts. This is the second win for Ganassi’s No. 02 car, which won in 2006 with Scott Dixon, Casey Mears and Dan Wheldon. Second career Rolex win for Dixon’s, first for McMurray, Tony Kanaan and Kyle Larson. Ganassi engine manufacturer Ford won its 169th race in the United Sports Car Championship, sixth best in the modern era.
